Expert Witness Services

Dr Andy Newton, former Chair of the College of Paramedics and NHS Director, became the UK's first Consultant Paramedic in 2005. With over 15 years as an expert witness, he contributed to the HCPC Standards of Proficiency for paramedics and served on JRCALC for seven years. Currently, he chairs the Health Practice Associates Council (HPAC), overseeing the non-statutory register for pre-hospital clinicians working below the paramedic level.

Andy Newton

Andy operates a specialist consultancy, with a small team of experienced practitioners. He is also Chairman of the HPA Panel and is a past Chair of the College of Paramedics. He held Director level positions, coupled with a consultant paramedic role, which was the first such appointment of its kind, for 11 years in the NHS and has extensive experience in the ambulance service, education sectors in relevant areas of regulation.
